Let the battle for the ultimate beach destination begin! Will Virginia Beach's pristine shores reign supreme, or will the allure of Myrtle Beach sweep us off our feet? Let's take a closer look at the signal readings and coverage area percentages for each beach, accompanied by their unique charms, to determine their well-deserved rankings.
To evaluate the quality of the mobile experience, we combined excellent and fair for both signal readings and coverage area. We also combined poor and no signal for both signal readings and coverage area. Here’s how the beaches performed.
Our Analysis
Looking at the table, we can see that the percentage of mobile consumers who experience excellent or fair signal readings varies widely across the different beaches. For example, Virginia Beach, Cape May, Folly Beach, and Myrtle Beach all have (60%) or higher percentages of excellent or fair signal readings, while Atlantic City is the only beach with 90% or higher, all while Hampton Beach and Outer Banks have 26% or less mobile consumers experiencing excellent or fair signal readings.
This is an indicator that mobile consumers at the first set of beaches mentioned would be more likely to have a positive mobile experience while enjoying the beach while the others would likely have a difficult time staying connected.
Final Rankings
In summary, there is significant variation between beaches in terms of signal reception and coverage, with some beaches providing excellent signal readings and coverage, while others offer poorer performance.
So how did the beaches rank? We organized a list that ranks the beaches from best mobile experience to worst to see who had the highest % of excellent/fair readings and coverage area.
Note: The ranking is based solely on the data provided and does not take into account other factors that may affect the overall quality of the parks.
In conclusion, M2Catalyst's study of these popular east coast beaches is a fascinating initiative that will help us to appreciate these beaches in a new light. By evaluating the mobile connectivity of different beaches, the study will provide valuable insights into how the mobile experience can be improved for visitors, promoting the importance of high-quality mobile connectivity in public spaces.
